The Bial Foundation, a public service utility, launched a programme of science research grants in 1994, with the aim of encouraging the study of neurophysiological and mental health in people, arousing the interest of researchers in the areas of Psychophysiology and Parapsychology.
In the nine rounds so far organised (held every two years), have been submitted 1213 projects, representing the work of 4027 researchers, from 39 countries. So far have been supported 388 projects, involving 1266 researchers from 27 countries (Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungry, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States, Belgium, India and Taiwan).
